The Tsuchinoko has a rare chance to also spawn on the exit path from base camp during the Faraway Lorelei quest. It has a notable chance to spawn near one of the cannons at Sector 1 and/or at the end of the long slide at the camp site where a Chillshroom and many Copper Calappa are located. However, it is smaller and moves faster, so it is easy to tell when you've found a Tsuchinoko. Tsuchinoko scuttles along the ground, similar to the Gold Helmcrab. You should be able to catch a few of them in 1 go.Tsuchinoko is an Endemic Life creature in Monster Hunter World (MHW). Equip your capture net, and ta-da, you got them. If you hear the unique chirping sound again, look back. Do try to move around the Aptonoths a bit. Go towards the pack of Aptonoths, but keep a bit of a distance from them. Repeat the process until you hear a chirping sound. If nothing is heard within the first 10 seconds, move onto the Wildspire Waste's first camp, and repeat the same thing as step 1. Listen to a unique chirp, as heard in this video. Upon landing with your wingdrake, do not move. Otherwise, go to the Wildspire Waste's first camp, where you could also potentially find them as well.
